Join us this Saturday, May 19th, for a 7pm showing of the 2009 independent film “DOGTOOTH (Kynodontas)”. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (“The Lobster”, “Killing of a Sacred Deer”). 1 hour 34 minutes. Drama, Thriller. Non rated. In Greek, with English subtitles. Top critics’ approval rating of 95 % at Rottentomatoes. Consensus: “It’ll be too disturbing — and meandering — for some, but Dogtooth is as disturbing and startlingly original as modern filmmaking gets.”
Plot: Three teenagers live isolated, without leaving their house, because their over-protective parents say they can only leave when their dogtooth falls out.
Popcorn and bottled/filtered water will be provided. Please bring other light refreshments if you can. Or leave a few dollars in the tip jar… Seating is limited.
Doors open at 6:30. If you arrive at 7:15, the movie will have started.
Marie and Guy will facilitate discussion after movie.
